ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet CPAP Machine with Heated Humidifier

    PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED

ResMed's AirSense 11 is a CPAP machine that merges advanced digital health technology with tried-and-true therapy modes to make starting sleep apnea therapy more accessible and beneficial than ever.

The Auto-Adjusting Unit Has Several Specialized Modes

The AirSense 11 auto-adjusts airflow pressure as you breathe, changing airflow pressure as needed while you sleep. An algorithm calculated specifically for women is included in this product, which includes multiple trusted modes including an AutoSet response for gentler pressure increases. This mode accounts for the differences in how obstructive sleep apnea presents in women for more targeted sleep therapy. Recent studies have demonstrated that women using the innovative AutoSet For Her mode have improved their REM sleep.

Expiratory Pressure Relief and Sleep Onset Detection Provide Increased Comfort

Using the AirSense 11 Auto's sleep onset detection feature, it delivers a low airflow pressure to assist you with falling asleep, gradually increasing to your prescribed level as you drift into sleep. As a bonus, the device has expiratory pressure relief (EPR), which reduces the pressure when you exhale. This maintains regular airflow pressure when inhaling and makes it easier to exhale when exhaling.

Easy-to-Clean Humidifier with Manual or Automatic Settings

Through the climate control feature, the built-in heated humidifier can be used either manually or automatically to reduce dry mouth and headaches.  The AirSense 11's humidifier includes an easy-to-clean and removable tub.  The AirSense 11's touchscreen display also permits you to operate your customized therapy settings with ease.

Modern Design Provides a Stylish Look and Easy Navigation

The AirSense 11 was designed with simplicity in mind.  A sizeable start/stop button allows you to begin or end your sleep therapy with a single touch, in addition to the machine's stylish touchscreen that also allows the user to utilize customized sleep therapy settings.

With myAir, you can Obtain Sleep Reports and Securely Transfer your Sleep Data

The AirSense 11 includes myAir, an online service and application that assists you in keeping track of your sleep apnea as your therapy progresses.  The myAir app also educates and encourages the user, in addition to resolving common therapy issues that may help improve compliance.

Care Check-In Feature allows you free Coaching and Assistance.

Additionally, the AirSense 11 includes a feature called Care Check-In, which gives voice-guided directions to help troubleshoot any issues.

The Included Filter Effectively Removes Environmental Particles

Also included is a fine mesh disposable filter, which helps to sift out particles, providing you with fresh, clean air.

Cleaning is only required Four Times per Month for Proper Care.

For best results, you'll want to clean your AirSense 11 weekly, using warm water and mild soap.  Washing your CPAP equipment helps it last longer and only takes a few moments each week.  ResMed also includes a guide for detailed cleaning instructions.

    FAQ's

Q: What are the differences between AirSense 11 and AirSense 10?

A: The AirSense 11 was released on August 16, 2021, and is ResMed's newest bedside machine since the AirSense 10 was released in 2014. The designs of the machines are different in that the AirSense 11 is slightly longer, but has a more narrow design. The AirSense 11 also weighs slightly less, making it easier to travel with. Regarding power, the AirSense 11 now uses a 65-watt power supply, whereas the AirSense 10 is at 90-watt, thereby making the Airsense 11 more energy efficient. Perhaps the biggest difference between the two machines is that the AirSense 11 now has a color touchscreen, a vast improvement over the AirSense 10's knob-controlled navigation menu. Regarding the humidifier chambers, both humidifier tanks still have the same capacity, but the designs are different; therefore, you may not use your AirSense 10 water chamber with the AirSense 11. Likewise, the AirSense 11's filters are smaller than the AirSense 10. ResMed has moved the filter vent from the side of the machine to the back, which should make for better airflow.

Q: Can the comfort features of my AirSense 11 be changed or does my doctor need to do this?

A: You can change features such as ramp time and humidity level with the push of a button!  Just hit the touchscreen and go to "My Options" to personalize your comfort settings.

    Q: What does humidification do?

A: The purpose of the humidifier is to dampen air, making it easier to breathe in and out and keep the user from suffering from dry mouth (a common complaint of CPAP users). ResMed's Climate Control setting has present levels that give the user the ability to set a humidity level between 1 and 8. Additionally, ResMed's ClimateLineAir heated hose is required to make use of AirSense 11's Climate Control. With this ClimateLineAir hose, the user can set a level of temperature between 60-86 degrees Fahrenheit. If you get moisture within the mask, turn down the humidity as needed. Likewise, if you have a dry nose or mouth, be sure to increase the humidity level. Additionally, check the seals of your mask to be sure the air is not escaping--this can also cause dry mouth. The most common kind of leak is from the mouth. A full face mask or the use of a chin strap may help in these situations.

Q: What is the purpose of ramp time?

A: Ramp is a function of the CPAP that allows for air pressure to begin slowly, gradually increasing until you reach your prescribed pressure setting(s). Ramp settings can be set anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes. Additionally, the AirSense 11 has an auto feature that will detect when the user falls asleep, increasing air pressure as needed until it is at the prescribed therapy.

Q: How do you change ramp time?

A: Under My Options, choose Ramp Time and select your setting.

Q: Can I change the pressure setting of the AirSense 11?

A: The process for a CPAP to regulate and readjust pressure is called titration. It is not advised to calibrate your pressure settings without having a prescription.

Q: What is the decibel level of the AirSense 11?

A: The AirSense 11 has a sound rating of 27 decibels (for reference, most CPAPs average about 30 decibels).

Q: Is the AirSense 11 FFA approved?

A: Yes, the AirSense 11 is FAA approved for in-flight usage. (H2?) Cleaning Your Machine

Q: How do I clean my CPAP machine and how often?

A: At a minimum, you should clean your CPAP weekly. Clean your machine using mild soap in a sink or tub (be sure your machine is unplugged). Be sure to use clean and warm water. Do not put your CPAP or supplies in a washing machine or dishwasher. Other users prefer to use 50/50 water and vinegar solutions. In either case, be sure to wipe your equipment down using a clean, dry towel.

Q: How often should I replace the filter in my AirSense 11?

A: Generally, filters should be replaced every 6 months. If you have pets or are a smoker, you will likely want to change the filter more often. Also, be sure to check on the quality of your filter from time to time and remove any dirt, dust, or hair as needed.  Do not try and clean the filter.  It should be replaced instead.

Q:  Does the AirSense 11 come with a battery?

A: No, the AirSense 11 does not come with a built-in battery, but the machine is equipped with an AC power unit.

Q:  Does the AirSense 11 work with WiFI?

A:  Yes, the AirSense 11 has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth capability.  This allows you to connect to ResMed's data-sharing service, AirView.

Q:  Does the AirSense 11 have an SD card?

    A.  ResMed no longer includes SD cards; however, the AirSense 11 is built with a slot for SD cards.
