The new ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet auto-adjusting CPAP device with integrated humidifier provides advanced event detection and downloadable diagnostic information via SD card. Please note: The AirSense 10 Card-to-Cloud device is not compatible with the ResMed MyAir App.

The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is a premium auto-adjusting CPAP therapy machine for sleep apnea patients. Featuring advanced technology capable of detecting specific sleep states, the AirSense 10 AutoSet™ monitors breathing patterns and adjusts pressure settings based on real-time data. The AirSense 10’s practical design includes a built-in humidifier, quiet motor and easy-to-use LCD interface – ensuring one of the most convenient and effective CPAP therapy options available.

    • Advanced Automated CPAP Therapy

ResMed, one of the most trusted brands in CPAP therapy, showcases its latest technology on the AirSense 10 AutoSet. This advanced CPAP machine continuously monitors patient breathing patterns and automatically adjusts pressure to the optimal setting needed to treat specific apnea events. The AutoSet ’s enhanced algorithm can distinguish from a wide array of sleep disturbances for the most effective interventions. In fact, the AirSense 10’s can differentiate between obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea events (central sleep apnea is usually treated with Bi-level therapy or ASV therapy and often not treated with standard CPAP pressure). The AirSense 10 can also detect Cheyne-Stokes respiration, an irregular breathing condition that produces apneas. Pulse oximetry monitoring is also available on the AirSense 10 as an optional feature.

Several more automated systems adorn the AirSense 10 AutoSet, including AutoRamp, which starts therapy at a lower initial pressure until sleep is detected when it increases to the full prescribed setting. AutoRamp helps patients ease their way into initial sleep and makes it easier to fall back asleep when they do wake up during the night. Another comfort-enhancing feature is Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR), which lowers pressure during exhalation for more natural breathing. The AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ also offers SmartStart, which automatically starts CPAP therapy once the patient breathes into their mask and shuts down after the mask is removed (SmartStart is not activated when shipped unless specified otherwise).

    • Intuitive and Functional Design

ResMed has packaged its advanced CPAP technology into a convenient and practical design. The AirSense 10 AutoSet user interface is highlighted by its color LCD screen with intuitive menu navigation. An ambient light sensor adjusts the screen’s brightness, making it easy-to-read but not bothersome at night. The AutoSet ’s Easy-Breathe motor is quiet too, further reducing sleep distractions for you and your sleeping partner.

The AirSense 10’s integrated heated HumidAir™ humidifier makes water changes simple and convenient. Patient’s can also utilize a variety of hose options, from conventional tubing to the slender, lightweight tube included as standard equipment on the Airsense™ 10 AutoSet, or the ClimateLineAir™ heated tubing with its convenient swivel connection.

    FAQ's

    Q:  What does Card-to-Cloud mean?

A:  The ResMed AirSense 10 Card-to-Cloud has all of the same capabilities and functions as the standard AirSense 10; however, the Card-to-Cloud does not include a modem.  The Card-to-Cloud uses an SD card that allows you to track, monitor, and record your sleep data for easy upload to the Cloud. You can change features such as ramp time and humidity level with the push of a button!  Just hit the touchscreen and go to "My Options" to personalize your comfort settings.

    Q: What does humidification do?

A: The purpose of the humidifier is to dampen air, making it easier to breathe in and out and keep the user from suffering from dry mouth (a common complaint of CPAP users). ResMed's Climate Control setting has present levels that give the user the ability to set a humidity level between 1 and 8. Additionally, ResMed's ClimateLineAir heated hose is required to make use of AirSense 10's Climate Control. With this ClimateLineAir hose, the user can set the level of temperature of the humidifier. If you get moisture within the mask, turn down the humidity as needed. Likewise, if you have a dry nose or mouth, be sure to increase the humidity level. Additionally, check the seals of your mask to be sure the air is not escaping--this can also cause dry mouth. The most common kind of leak is from the mouth. A full face mask or the use of a chin strap may help in these situations.

Q:  What is the right about of humidity for a CPAP user?

A:  Most patients using an AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 device with a ClimateLineAir heated tube, find that Climate Control Auto is the ideal setting. Climate Control Auto allows you to set your patient’s preferred temperature and automatically delivers 85% relative humidity.

Q: What is the purpose of ramp time?

A: Ramp is a function of the CPAP that allows for air pressure to begin slowly, gradually increasing until you reach your prescribed pressure setting(s). Ramp settings can be set anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes. Additionally, the AirSense 10 has an auto feature that will detect when the user falls asleep, increasing air pressure as needed until it is at the prescribed therapy

    Q:  What is EPR?

A:  EPR stands for "expiratory pressure relief."  The purpose of EPR is to eliminate or reduce pressure as the patient breathes out during sleep therapy.  If the EPR feature is turned on, the machine's pressure will not fall below 4cm of pressure.

Q: What is the decibel level of the AirSense 10?

    A.  The AirSense 10 has an output of 27 decibels.

    Q.  Is the AirSense 10 FFA (Federal Aviation Administration) approved?

    A.  Yes, the AirSense 10 meets the criteria for FAA requirements for air travel.  It is advised, however, to not use your CPAP with water in the humidifier tub in order to avoid spilling while in flight.

    Q.  How do I help patients set up oxygen with an AirSense 10?

A:  If your patient requires oxygen, they’ll need to use an oxygen port. ResMed recommends using the Oxygen Connector Port, but an Oxygen Side Port Connector may also be used. Note: An oxygen diverter valve can be set up to reduce build-up in case oxygen continues to flow when the device is off or on standby mode. If your patient is using the Standard or SlimLine™ air tubing, we recommend placing the oxygen port between the device and the air tubing. If they’re using the ClimateLineAir™ heated tubing, then the port will need to be fitted between the tubing and the mask.

Q:  Why is air still blowing out of my device after my therapy is over?

A:  After therapy has stopped, the device will continue to blow a small amount of air to avoid condensation in the machine and air tube. This will stop automatically after 20 minutes.

Q:  Where is the serial number on my machine?

A:  The device number (DN) is a 3-digit code that can be found on the label at the back of each device. Similar to a CVV code on the back of a credit card, the DN provides additional authentication and security. The serial number (SN) can also be found on the label at the back of the device.
