If you have a DreamStation 2 - Get This Hose!

The hose should have shipped with the DreamStation 2, the hose I received only lasted 6 months before it cracked. This hose is the same diameter as my DreamStation 1 hose and is much better built. I got my order 2 days early - highly recommended!!! ---- CPAPDirect.com says: It's recommended to replace hoses and tubing every 3 months (and some insurance plans even provide for monthly replacement). Check out this article for standard recommendations on CPAP parts replacement: https://www.cpapdirect.com/cpap-maintenance-parts-and-replacement-schedule

Not 15mm

This tube is only 15mm at the connection points. On the plus side it is less cumbersome and doesn't retain fold kinks. However, the smaller diameter restricts air flow considerably.. I use an AirFit nose only mask. I thought my nose was a little plugged up from pollen allergies as I was having a very difficult time drawing air. On a lark, I switched back to my old full size 15mm and it was a difference of day and night. I had no problem whatsoever breathing. My AHI dropped to a 2.0 so I won't be using the "slim tubes anymore.

Perfect Fit

Priced right and shipped quick. Very nice to have heated air again. Identical to the original tube that came with the machine. Had to shop elsewhere for the attaching components because they were way overpriced here.

Fantastic addition to the DreamStation humidifier for a good night's sleep!

I never used a heated tube before with my previous Respironics M-Series Auto BiPAP machine. With my old machine and tubing, I not infrequently experienced "rainout" and either had to turn up the heat in my bedroom or apply a cylindrical "blanket" around the tube to prevent this phenomenon. Having used this new tube for the past 10 days, I am pleased to report that rainout is no longer an issue with this Philips Respironics DreamStation heated tube!

The tube connects easily to the swivel outlet port on top of the Philips Respironics DreamStation humidifier and receives power from the same circuit that supplies the DreamStation PAP machine and humidifier. Another thing I really like about this tube is that it seems to be much lighter and more flexible than the rather rigid standard tubes I had been using. I am no longer bothered by the tube brushing up during the night against my face.

If you have a DreamStation humidifier, this is an excellent addition to the system to help you get a good night's sleep.

Phillips Heated Hose

I received a hose ok, but it was not the one in the picture. The hose in the picture has three prongs and plugs into the machine. The hose I got had no prongs or plug in. Just smooth on both ends. Maybe it is a heated hose, maybe it isn’t. It’s not like the other hoses I’ve purchased before, and not what came with my machine. Everything else on order was correct.

SleepDirect says: Glad to hear your overall order was correct. Please call us at (800) 497-4904 with your concerns about the hose. Thanks!

Cracked Tube

My heated tube cracked at the connection to the mask fitting creating a major air leak impacting the performance of the CPAP. I have used this equipment for less than 18 months. Very disappointed and Phillips Respironics will not replace the tube.

Much better than a regular tube.

First, it is a 15mm tube which I find more comfortable and user friendly. Second, it is a bit heavier and does not retain the folds applied in packaging of previous 22mm tubes that I get from my provider. This means that the tube hangs from the machine in an even manner and does not get in the way. And thirdly, it does heat up the air coming through it. Caution, do not turn up the heat in the H2O reservoir and the tube too high or you will find the water has evaporated long before you wake.
