The Brevida AirPillow Seal is a replacement seal that is used with the Brevida CPAP Mask.

Fisher and Paykel has designed the AirPillow Seal with the patient in mind. The AirPillow seal inflates when the air from the CPAP machines starts to flow inflating to form a soft pillow of air that seals comfortably in and around your nose, giving the patient a very comfortable seal.

The Brevida AirPillow is made with very soft silicone that eliminates nasal irritation that can occur with some nasal pillows.

Q:  What cushion sizes are available for the Brevida mask?

A:  Available sizes are extra small/small or medium/large.

Q:  How often should the Brevida cushion be replaced?

A:  Do not go longer than 3 months without changing out your pillow.  Changing the cushion every 1 to 2 months is ideal as it helps prevent bacteria growth.  Additionally, the cushion will begin to degrade over time, causing a poor seal.

Q:  Is a prescription required to purchase just the cushion?

A:  No.  When purchasing the components of a mask (frame, cushion, and headgear), a prescription is not required.

Q:  What's the best way to clean the Brevida cushion?

A:  Ideally, you should clean the Brevida cushion once a day using warm and soaped water.  Do not use chemicals to clean--any mild soap will do.  Once cleaned, wipe down your cushion with a clean towel.  Further, do not dry your Brevida cushion in direct sunlight, as this can damage the material over time.
